Bail Bonds DIRECT is a fully licensed and bonded professional business. One of the most trusted names in the bail bond industry. Our staff of Bail Bond Agents are professionals who know the Paramount jails.
Whether a person has been arrested for domestic violence, DUI, DWI or any other offense the process is the same. Persons taken into custody by the Paramount Police or Sheriff's Department will be held at either the Paramount Police Station Jail, Sheriff's Station Jail or will be transfered to the Los Angeles County Jail (IRC) and will be kept there until their first court date called the "Arraignment." Bail is allowed to be posted in any facility 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Before a bail bond is turned in and accepted, the arrestee must pass a background check through "Live Scan", which is a machine that is linked to a county, state and national database. That database will notify the authorities of any possible holds, warrants, or aliases that might prevent release or increase the total bail amount of an arrestee. Once the results of the Live Scan come back from the various government agencies, that person is then "cleared" to bond out. At this time, a jailor will review and accept a Bail Bond for an arrestee and release them on the Bail Bond.
From the time a Bail Bond is turned in, it takes between 30 minutes and 3 hours for a release depending on the facility where the person is being held. Release times do vary based on the workload of the Paramount jail's staff as well as the type of facility. Once out, a person will need to complete his or her part of the paper work, take a picture, and make sure to show up to each and every court date thereafter. It is recommended that you hire a Paramount criminal defense lawyer as soon as possible.
In addition to being bail bonds agents we are proud members of the Paramount community.
The Lakewood Sheriff’s Department provides law enforcement services to the city of Paramount. There are 42 Sheriff's personnel assigned to the city of Paramount and a Sub Station is located at 15001 Paramount Blvd. Paramount Sheriff’s do not have a city jail, therefore all arrestees are transported directly to Lakewood Sheriff’s Station, located at 5130 N. Clark Avenue, in the city of Lakewood. Bail Bonds DIRECT® has bail agents that are available to post bonds for individuals arrested by Paramount Sheriff/Lakewood Sheriff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. We have agents locally who can meet with you in a matter of minutes within your initial phone call to us. Depending on your circumstances, we can even complete the bail bond process via telephone, email and/or fax. If you have a loved one that has been taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Department in Paramount, call Bail Bonds DIRECT® and we will act quickly to bail them out. We have one of the fastest bail bond release options available in any city throughout Southern California. Our entire bail process consists of approximately 30 minutes of explaining the process, filling out the required paperwork, qualifying you and posting the bond.
Bail Bonds DIRECT® Paramount bail agents understand this is an uncomfortable, stressful and frightening time for you. We are here to offer free bail information and make this process as easy and understanding for you as possible. Upon the arrest of an individual, some of the information we can provide include: (1) booking information; (2) case information; (3) warrant information; (4) court appearance locations; (5) date to appear in Court; (6) charge(s); and (7) bail amount(s). (This information is only available and provided to Licensed Bail Agents.) Our agent will take as much time as necessary with you to ensure you understand the process and make you feel as safe and comfortable with this unfortunate situation. Below is more specific information to help guide and assist you.
If an individual has been arrested in the city of Paramount, they are taken directly to Lakewood Sheriff’s Station Jail, which is a Type One holding facility. Type One means that the jail only holds an arrestee until his or her arraignment date. An arraignment is the first Court appearance the arrestee will make, usually where they will plead guilty or not guilty, and be given a new Court date to appear. If the individual was arrested for a misdemeanor, he or she will have their arraignment the day after they have been arrested. If the individual was arrested for a felony, he or she will have their arraignment on the second day after his or her arrest, both not counting weekends and holidays. After the arraignment, the individual will be transferred to Mens Central Jail IRC (Twin Towers) in Los Angeles or Lynwood Jail for women in Lynwood. There are instances where the Lakewood Sheriff’s Jail will not hold an arrestee and instead transfer them immediately to Mens Central Jail IRC (Twin Towers) in Los Angeles or Lynwood Jail for women in Lynwood. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, medical care requirements and jail overfill. The transfer process is explained more in detail below.
Once an individual has been arrested in Paramount, California, they are taken to the City Jail at Lakewood Sheriff’s Station for booking. Upon arrival, the individual is classified by the alleged crime(s) they are accused of (penal code, vehicle code, health and safety code, business and professions code, etc.). The County of Los Angeles has a pre-determined bail schedule that is the basis for the amount of bail that is set, determined by the violating code (look up a code). Once the bail amount is assigned, the arrested individual has his or her fingerprints taken on a machine called a live scan. The live scan is connected to the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) national database. The live scan and DOJ compares records and will report if the arrested individual has any warrants, bail holds and/or aliases to the Lakewood Sheriff Station. Upon completion of the live scan and the returned results, the arrestee has then "cleared fingerprints" and is ready to be bailed/bonded out as long as there are no "holds". If a hold is placed, it means the arrestee is unable to bail/bond out because another law enforcement agency, parole/probation officer and/or Judge has Ordered that the person be held without the option to bailing/bonding out until they make at least one Court appearance.
If the individual has cleared fingerprints, Bail Bonds DIRECT® can post the bail bond directly with the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station and the individual will be released and free within 30-60 minutes. We understand that it is not always an easy decision whether to bail someone out; but it is important to contact us as soon as possible from the time you are aware that your loved one has been arrested. This is so that in the case you do wish to bail them out, we can begin the process quickly and efficiently by notifying Lakewood SD that the individual arrested will be bailed out and there is the possibility that we can request that they hold them at Lakewood rather than transferring them if a transfer is required, as stated above. After the arrestee has appeared at his or her arraignment, they will be transferred to either Mens Central Jail IRC (Twin Towers) in Los Angeles or Lynwood Jail for women in Lynwood on the same day.
The Mens Central Jail is a maximum security correctional facility that holds approximately 5000 male inmates and is the largest jail in the world. If the arrestee is transferred, it often takes 8-16 hours to process the inmate at either Mens Central Jail or Lynwood Jail, where they will go through the booking process again. Although the arrested individual may have already "cleared fingerprints" at the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station, they will need to clear the system again at Mens Central Jail and/or Lynwood, where it takes significantly longer due to the high capacity of inmates. After they have completed the booking process at Mens Central Jail or Lynwood Jail Bail Bonds DIRECT® is then able to post the bond at the Cashier’s Office of the jail. After the bond has been posted, it then takes another 6-16 hours approximately for the individual to be released. This process is long, draining and frustrating.
In order to avoid a circumstance that your loved one may require a transfer to the Mens Central Jail (Twin Towers) located at 441 Bauchet Street in the city of Los Angeles or Lynwood Jail for women located at 11705 Alameda Street in the city of Lynwood, and enduring the drawn out process there, Bail Bonds DIRECT® can work directly with the Sheriff’s Department to keep the individual at the Lakewood City Jail pending a bail bond posting. Once you become aware of the arrest, despite not feeling sure of your decision to hire our services, we offer a free consultation/free bail information and will contact the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station to inquire on the arresting charges, the bail amount and request they keep the inmate at the City Jail rather than immediately transferring them to Los Angeles County Jail if they so require. Once we obtain the bail information, we will call you back and discuss your options. If you are low on finances for the Lakewood bail bond, we can still help. In addition to taking all major credit cards, we offer payment plans with no financing costs depending on your credit rating.
If you have made the decision to bail your loved one out, we have professional Paramount bail bond agents to meet with you and take you through the process quickly. Upon posting the bail bond, the arrestee will be released from the City Jail within 30-60 minutes. We will receive a Court appearance date that is predetermined by the Jail, usually within one month of the arrest date. Individuals arrested in Paramount, California will most likely appear at the Bellflower Courthouse located at 10025 E. Flower Street in the city of Bellflower or at Southeast District, Norwalk Courthouse, located at 12720 Norwalk Blvd in the city of Norwalk. Upon his or her release, our bail agent will meet with the arrested individual, go through the required paperwork with him or her, notify them of their Court Appearance and any other requirements our office may implement.
Bail Bonds DIRECT® Paramount office understands you have many options/choices in deciding which Bail Bond Company to work with. We ask that you simply contact us, speak with one of our agents and give us the opportunity to make this bail bond process calm, comfortable and FAST for you and your loved one.
